1. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of https://digitalstartupindia.com and related websites, pages, features, services, content, accounts and digital products operated by Digital Startup India ("Digital Startup India", "DSI", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing, browsing, registering on, submitting content to, purchasing a service from, advertising on, or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to be bound by them, together with the policies referenced in these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Platform.
2. ABOUT DIGITAL STARTUP INDIA
Digital Startup India is a business and startup information/community platform intended to connect and inform founders, entrepreneurs, startups, MSMEs, professionals, investors, mentors, service providers and other members of the business ecosystem.
The Platform may contain editorial content, business information, startup profiles, interviews, success stories, government-scheme information, educational resources, user-generated content, business listings, advertisements, sponsored content, events, newsletters and other services.
3. ELIGIBILITY
You must have legal capacity to enter into these Terms under applicable law.
If you create an account or submit information on behalf of a company, startup, organisation or other entity, you represent that you have authority to do so and to bind that entity to these Terms.
Certain services may have additional age, eligibility, identity, geographic or regulatory requirements.
4. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
DSI may modify these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Platform, services, technology, business practices or applicable law.
Updated Terms will be posted on the Platform with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
Where applicable law requires a more specific form of notice or consent, DSI will follow that requirement.
5. PLATFORM SERVICES
DSI may provide free and paid services including, without limitation:
• Startup and business listings;
• Founder/startup profiles;
• Startup stories and success stories;
• Featured listings and promotional placements;
• Sponsored content and advertising;
• Business directories;
• Events and event promotions;
• News, articles and educational resources;
• Membership or subscription features;
• Lead-generation or enquiry services;
• Digital publications or newsletters;
• Community features;
• Other business and entrepreneurial services.
DSI may introduce, modify, suspend or discontinue features or services from time to time.
6. INFORMATIONAL NATURE OF CONTENT
Much of the Platform is informational and educational. DSI does not guarantee that startup, investment, business, market, government-scheme, regulatory or other information is complete, current, error-free or suitable for a particular user.
Users should independently verify material information and obtain appropriate professional advice before making legal, financial, investment, tax, regulatory or business decisions.

7. INVESTMENT AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION
DSI does not provide investment advice merely by publishing information, profiles, funding announcements, investment-related articles or promotional material.
Nothing on the Platform is a guarantee, recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell, hold or otherwise transact in securities or other financial products unless expressly stated in a legally compliant context.
Investment involves risk, including possible loss of capital. Users must conduct independent due diligence and verify regulatory status where applicable.
8. GOVERNMENT SCHEMES AND PUBLIC-POLICY INFORMATION
DSI may publish information about government schemes, grants, subsidies, loans, incentives, registrations, programmes and policy initiatives.
Such information may change. Users must verify current eligibility, deadlines, documents, benefits and application procedures with the relevant official government authority or portal before relying on it.
DSI does not guarantee eligibility, approval, sanction, disbursement or receipt of any government benefit.
9. USER ACCOUNTS
Certain features may require registration or creation of an account.
You are responsible for providing accurate information and maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials.
You must promptly notify DSI if you believe your account has been compromised.
You are responsible for activity occurring through your account to the extent permitted by applicable law.
10. USER-SUBMITTED CONTENT
Users may submit articles, startup profiles, comments, photographs, videos, logos, business information, reviews, interviews, listings, announcements and other materials ("User Content").
You remain responsible for User Content that you submit.
You represent that you have the necessary rights, permissions and authority to submit the content and that it does not knowingly violate law or third-party rights.
DSI may moderate, edit for formatting/clarity, refuse, restrict, suspend or remove User Content in accordance with these Terms and applicable policies.
11. LICENCE TO USER CONTENT
By submitting User Content, you grant DSI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence, to the extent necessary to operate and promote the Platform, to host, reproduce, display, distribute, format, adapt, edit for technical or editorial purposes and communicate that content through DSI's websites, newsletters, social channels and other DSI-controlled media.
This licence continues for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which the content was submitted, subject to applicable law and DSI's Privacy Policy.
You should not submit confidential business information, trade secrets or other information that you do not want published.
12. CONTENT MODERATION
DSI may use human review, automated tools or a combination of methods to moderate content.
Moderation does not guarantee that every unlawful, inaccurate or objectionable item will be detected.
DSI may take action based on complaints, reports, automated detection, legal notices, court/government orders or internal review.
13. PROHIBITED USER CONDUCT
You must not use the Platform to:
• Violate applicable law;
• Defraud, deceive or impersonate another person or entity;
• Publish knowingly false or materially misleading information;
• Infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights;
• Upload malware, viruses or malicious code;
• Phish for passwords, OTPs, banking details or credentials;
• Harass, threaten or stalk others;
• Promote unlawful goods, services or activities;
• Manipulate reviews, rankings or engagement;
• Send spam or unsolicited commercial communications in violation of law;
• Scrape or harvest data except as expressly permitted;
• Circumvent security, access controls or rate limits;
• Interfere with Platform operation;
• Create fake accounts or misleading profiles;
• Upload content that is obscene, exploitative, hateful or otherwise prohibited by applicable law or DSI policy;
• Use the Platform to facilitate unlawful investment, financial or government-benefit claims.
14. BUSINESS LISTINGS AND PROFILES
Business and startup listings may be supplied by businesses, users or third parties.
Publication of a listing does not necessarily mean DSI has independently verified, endorsed, certified or recommended the business.
Businesses are responsible for keeping their submitted information accurate and current and for responding appropriately to customer enquiries.
15. PAID LISTINGS AND PROMOTIONAL SERVICES
DSI may offer featured listings, sponsored stories, paid profiles, advertising placements, promotional packages and other paid services.
Payment does not automatically constitute endorsement or guarantee of a business, product, service, funding opportunity or claim.
Paid services are also governed by the Advertiser / Sponsored Content Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
16. SPONSORED CONTENT AND ADVERTISING
Sponsored articles, advertisements, paid startup stories, featured content and other commercial communications may appear on the Platform.
DSI will use appropriate disclosure for paid or sponsored content where required.
Advertisers remain responsible for the accuracy, legality and substantiation of their claims.

17. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Except for User Content and third-party materials, the Platform and its original content, branding, design, logos, graphics, text, software and compilation are owned by or licensed to DSI and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may access and use the Platform for lawful personal or business purposes, but you may not reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, create derivative works from, publicly exploit or commercially republish DSI-owned material without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of DSI intellectual property to you.
18. COPYRIGHT COMPLAINTS
If you believe material on the Platform infringes your copyright, please use the Grievance / Copyright Contact process and provide the information reasonably required to identify the work, rights holder, allegedly infringing URL and basis of the complaint.
DSI may restrict or remove content where appropriate after reviewing a sufficiently detailed complaint, applicable law and available evidence.

19. TRADEMARKS
Digital Startup India and related logos, names and marks may constitute trademarks or protected brand assets.
You may not use DSI marks in a way that suggests endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation without written permission.
20. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES
The Platform may link to or integrate third-party websites, tools, payment providers, social networks, government portals, advertisers and service providers.
DSI does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices, transactions or policies.
Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.
21. EVENTS
DSI may list, promote or organise business events, webinars, conferences, workshops and other activities.
Event details, speakers, venues, dates and schedules may change. Participation may be subject to separate event-specific terms.
Where a third party organises the event, DSI does not guarantee the organiser's performance, safety, content or commercial outcome.
22. JOBS, INTERNSHIPS AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
Job, internship, partnership, franchise, business opportunity and similar listings may originate from third parties.
DSI does not guarantee authenticity, employment, salary, business returns, funding, partnership or other outcomes unless expressly stated.
Users should conduct independent due diligence and should not send passwords, OTPs, banking credentials or unnecessary sensitive information to unverified parties.
23. REVIEWS AND TESTIMONIALS
Reviews, ratings and testimonials may represent individual experiences and do not necessarily reflect the views of DSI or typical results.
DSI may moderate reviews under its policies but does not guarantee that every review is independently verified.
24. AI-GENERATED OR AI-ASSISTED CONTENT
Some content may be created or assisted using AI or automated tools.
AI-assisted content may contain errors, omissions or outdated information. Material claims should be independently verified.
Users must not submit synthetic media or AI-generated content that impersonates people, fabricates evidence, infringes rights or materially deceives users.
25. PRIVACY AND COOKIES
Use of the Platform is also subject to DSI's Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
These policies explain how personal data, cookies and similar technologies may be handled.
26. PAYMENTS
Paid services may be processed through third-party payment providers.
Users must provide accurate payment and billing information and comply with applicable payment-provider terms.
DSI does not store complete payment-card credentials unless expressly stated and lawfully required for a specific service.
27. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Refunds, cancellations, credits and service-specific remedies are governed by DSI's Refund & Cancellation Policy and any applicable order or service agreement.
Certain services may have different cancellation windows or refund rules, which will be disclosed at the time of purchase where applicable.
28. NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS
DSI does not guarantee business leads, sales, customers, funding, investment, revenue, profit, valuation, employment, search rankings, social-media reach or other outcomes from using the Platform or purchasing a service.
Any case studies, examples or testimonials are illustrative unless expressly stated otherwise.
29. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform and its content are provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis without warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.
DSI does not warrant that the Platform will always be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, complete or error-free.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
30. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DSI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses arising from use of the Platform or reliance on general information published on it.
DSI's liability, where legally established and capable of limitation, may be limited to the amount paid by the user for the specific service giving rise to the claim, subject to applicable law and any mandatory consumer rights.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
31. INDEMNITY
To the extent permitted by law, users may be responsible for losses, claims, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from their unlawful conduct, User Content, infringement of third-party rights, breach of these Terms or misuse of the Platform.
Specific indemnity obligations may also be included in advertising, enterprise or service agreements.
32. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
DSI may suspend, restrict or terminate access to an account or service where there is a reasonable basis to believe that the user has violated these Terms, applicable law, payment obligations, security requirements or DSI policies.
DSI may also suspend a feature for technical, security, legal or business reasons.
Where required by applicable law, DSI will provide appropriate notice or process.
33. EFFECT OF TERMINATION
Upon termination, rights to access restricted account features may cease.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property protections, disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute provisions and payment obligations, will survive to the extent permitted by law.

DSI will process complaints in accordance with applicable law and its published grievance procedures.
35. INTERMEDIARY / USER-CONTENT FRAMEWORK
Where DSI provides features that fall within the applicable legal framework for intermediaries or other regulated digital services, DSI will maintain appropriate due diligence, content-handling and grievance mechanisms required by applicable law.
The Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 impose due-diligence and grievance-related obligations on intermediaries subject to their applicability and classification. ?cite?turn0search0?
DSI does not represent through these Terms that it qualifies as any particular category of intermediary or publisher; applicability depends on the actual services, functionality, user base and legal framework in force.
36. DIGITAL NEWS / EDITORIAL CONTENT
Where DSI publishes news or current-affairs content, additional legal and editorial requirements may apply depending on the nature and classification of the service.
Editorial content should be distinguished from advertising and sponsored content as required by applicable law and DSI's policies.
37. CONSUMER PROTECTION
Where DSI supplies goods or services to consumers through an electronic network, applicable consumer-protection laws and rules may apply.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive mandatory consumer rights or statutory remedies.
The Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 form part of India's e-commerce consumer-protection framework where applicable.
38. DATA PROTECTION
DSI will process personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and related rules form part of the current data-protection framework, subject to their applicable commencement and enforcement provisions.
39. SECURITY
Users must not attempt to bypass security controls, probe vulnerabilities without permission, introduce malicious code, overload the Platform or interfere with other users' access.
DSI may investigate suspected security incidents and take appropriate technical or legal action.
40. AVAILABILITY AND CHANGES TO CONTENT
Content, features, pricing, availability, business listings, event details and other Platform information may change without notice where appropriate.
DSI may correct errors, update information or remove outdated content.
41. NO PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIP
Use of DSI content does not create a lawyer-client, accountant-client, investment-adviser-client, consultant-client or other professional relationship.
Users should obtain professional advice where appropriate.
42. FORCE MAJEURE
DSI will not be responsible for delay or inability to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including internet or infrastructure failures, cyber incidents, natural disasters, government actions, strikes, power outages, war, civil unrest or failures of third-party providers.
43. ASSIGNMENT
Users may not transfer or assign their rights or obligations under these Terms without DSI's prior written consent where such consent is required.
DSI may assign or transfer its rights or obligations in connection with a restructuring, merger, acquisition, sale of assets or operation of the Platform, subject to applicable law.
44. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to the extent permitted by law.
45. WAIVER
Failure by DSI to enforce a provision does not constitute a permanent waiver of that provision or any other right.
46. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with the policies and service-specific agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement governing use of the Platform, subject to any mandatory rights under applicable law.
47. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to mandatory statutory protections and rights available to consumers and other users under applicable law.
48. JURISDICTION
Subject to applicable law and any mandatory consumer or statutory jurisdiction rules, courts having appropriate jurisdiction in New Delhi, India shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Platform.

51. USER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
By continuing to use Digital Startup India, submitting content, creating an account, purchasing a service or otherwise interacting with the Platform, you acknowledge that you have had a reasonable opportunity to review these Terms and the related policies and agree to comply with them.
